Breath Prayer: To pray a simple, intimate prayer of heartfelt desire before God linked to the ryhthms of breathing: (1) breath in, calling on a biblical name or image of God, and (2) breath outa simple God-given desire.

Centering Prayer: To quiet the heart and rest in God alone; a way of praying that seeks to quiet scattered thoughts and desires in the still center of Christ’s presence.

Contemplative Prayer: To develop an opten, restful receptivity to the Trinity that enables me to always be with God just as I am.

Discernment: To delight in and recognize the voice and will of God.

Examen: To reflect on where I was most and least present to God’s love in my day

Humility: To become like Jesus in his willingness to choose the hidden way of love rather than the way of power.

Journaling: To be alert to my life through writing and reflecting on God’s presence and activity in, around, and through me.

Labyrinth Prayer: To make a quiet listening pilgrimage to God on a simple marked path that is based on the ancient practice of pilgimage ((1) the journey inward, (2) resting with Christ, and (3) the journey outward).

Listening Prayer: To quiet the innter and outer noises to I can open my heart and listen for God’s voice, allowing God to set the agenda so I may respond to the word that he gives.

Mindfulness/Attentiveness: To live wholeheartedly in the present moment, alert to God without judgement.

Rule of Life: To live a sane and holy rhythm that reflects a deep love for God and respect for how the Creator has made me.

Self-Care: To value myself as my heavenly Father values me.

Solitude: To leave people behind and enter into time alone with God.

Teachability: To remain a lifelong learner who is continually open to the resh wind of the Holy Spirit.
